Burning Bush


Experience the ultimate jazz affair

Burning bush is jazz and gospel band that was formed in 2001 out of a desire to exploit our God given talents and manifesting God’s glory in us as we express ourselves through this genre of music.
It initially consisted of six founding members, born-again Christians;

● Patrick Lundi – drummer.
● Mwavongo Tayo – percussionist.
● Mannaseh Odawa – keyboards.
● Akim Ochieng – clarinet/saxophonist.
● Charles Lundi – trumpet/saxophonist.
● P.C. Achar – bass.

The band went into full-time music profession in 2012.
Over the years since its inception Burning bush band has evolved from its initial six founder members to the present quartet who have been together since January 2016; 

● Sammy Odhiambo – keyboards.
● Toms Mwambo – drums.
● Charles Lundi –saxophonist.
● P.C. Achar – bass.

Burning bush band has performed at the Mombasa governors Annual dinner ball, and is a regular call up for jazz and dinner functions at the south coast establishments. Burning bush also holds a quarterly jazz concert;

- The Coast Jazz Montage, in Mombasa where they are based.

Burning bush band has since grown to be an unmatched modern jazz band in the coast playing modern jazz cover copies and original compositions, plus Contemporary, Afro, and Gospel jazz, broken down and translated to their most delightful. 
Burning bush also provides live instrumental backing to artists who need the service.

The bands passion and desire is to use their instruments and musical skills to bring live instrumental jazz and gospel music playing to another level of appreciation.
